São Jorge Through a Photographer’s Eyes is a 100 page book with an exquisite selection of 81 photos of the enchanting landscape of São Jorge Island that so many poets tried to translate into words and that I, personally, try to translate into images.
Many of these photos are the union between the perfection of nature and my (in)sight.
This book is the result of many hours spent in the search of the perfect photo. The one that could express the best that I have seen and felt while contemplating the landscape.
São Jorge Through a Photographer’s Eyes not only portraits the landscape and captures the way I see it, but it also immortalizes my island and its nature.
Despite being a book of photography, I thought it would be interesting to gather some information and historical facts of each place, which will certainly interest, not only the inhabitants of the island and the Azoreans, but also the tourists that visit us.
